Palm Royale Resort - Soma Bay

it's a fabulous staying there, the reception manager a gentle man received me well, he said I hoped you would come again, this is your family stay, we will wait you again, it's a life.time memory. my stay there there was only one Chinese family in the whole hotel, I felt so honored. it's a magic and gorgeous country and hotel. thanks! if chances, I would visit there

The hotel is very grand and beautiful however, there are some areas that need addressing. For example the beds are uncomfortable even with mattress toppers. The rooms are clean and spacious but the bathrooms need updating so there are showers separate from the bath. The food is ok, you can always find something that you enjoy. However, the Italian and Greek food is very bland. We did have an amazing carbonara on the first night though with delicious bread in the Italian. We absolutely loved eating breakfast on the terrace. The beach area is stunning but could do with a few more lively bars to sit and eat. The drinks are not nice at all. They look nice but the poor quality of alcohol makes them undrinkable. Stick to the wine as it’s the better choice in my opinion. The staff in the hotel are absolutely amazing. They made our holiday special. The service was outstanding. On Christmas Day they worked so hard to make it special. Maybe next year, it could be organised by management into sittings so that everyone gets a seat. That said, it was still an amazing service provided by all staff and we didn’t have to wait too long to be sat outside on a beautifully prepared table. Salah and Caffe kept the wine flowing and we were impressed with their kindness and hard work. Rabat at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, we were always greeted with a smile. Thank you to the bartenders at Johnny’s bar who served us drinks with a smile. My boys really enjoyed talking and having fun with the staff. A special thanks to Mohsen who was friendly and kind. And a huge thank you to Tadros who became a good friend to us during our stay. We must leave a special message for Reda who works in the shop that sells the magical pictures on papyrus paper. Such a lovely man with a kind soul. All staff were amazing including Shaz and the animation team. They had me up dancing on the beach. The beach staff also decorated our loungers on both birthdays with balloons making our days perfect. We cannot fault the staff at this beautiful hotel.
